Lorry overturns near Salisbury and spills grain outside pub, closing road

A ROAD at a village near Salisbury is currently closed after a lorry overturned outside a pub.

A grain lorry overturned outside the Fox and Goose Pub in Coombe Bissett earlier today (August 7).

Police said the A354 outside the pub is currently closed while they try to recover the vehicle.

A Salisbury Police spokesperson said: “We are currently at the scene of an overturned lorry on the A354 outside The Fox and Goose Pub in Coombe Bissett.

“The road is currently closed while recovery of the vehicle is underway. Please find alternate routes.”

The pub informed customers that it would be closed temporarily.

They said: “Unfortunately we are going to be closed for lunchtime today.

“We will keep you all updated as to when we are able to open…. Hopefully for evening service!”
