FESTIVE cheer turned into real-life support for Salisbury Hospice Charity this Christmas thanks to the generosity of Nationwide UK staff and customers.
The Salisbury and Amesbury branches raised an impressive £1,420 through raffles, and that was just the beginning.
Staff also got creative, crafting Christmas wreaths and selling knitted angels, with plans to help again in the new year through their Christmas tree collection.
“We are so grateful to the local businesses who kindly donated prizes and to all Nationwide customers who took part,” said a spokesperson for Salisbury Hospice.
“Your generosity and community spirit will help provide vital care, comfort and compassion to patients and families at Salisbury Hospice when it’s needed most.”

Since 1981, Salisbury Hospice has been providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care, supporting patients and families in the community with dignity, compassion and emotional comfort.
Relying heavily on donations, the hospice needs to generate more than £3 million each year to run its services.
