SIX established artists from the Salisbury area have joined forces to launch a new creative collective – the Nova Art Guild.
Bringing together photographers David Walker and Scarlet Leatham, glass artist Geraldine McLoughlin, painters Lindsay Keir and Tamsyn Gregory, and fine art ceramicist Fiona Charter, the group aims to offer visitors a rich and varied artistic experience.
All regular exhibitors, the artists say the decision to collaborate was driven by a shared desire to create something both diverse and complementary.
Colour, pattern and form are central themes running through their work.
Fiona said: “We are excited to be setting out on this new venture together and showcase our own unique artistic perspective.
“Putting on exhibitions is something we all love to do as sharing our art with a wider audience is so rewarding, but it also requires a lot of commitment in terms of time both in putting together a show and manning it on a daily basis and we all felt that it would be more fun and supportive to do this as part of a group.”
The Guild already has two major exhibitions planned for 2026.
The first will take place at Fisherton Mill as part of the Salisbury Art Trail, organised by Plain Arts Salisbury.
David said: “Our exhibition in the Main Gallery on the first floor at Fisherton Mill from 21st May to 20th June will be a return to this lovely venue for all of us, but our first visit as the newly formed Nova Art Collective.
“We are then delighted to be showing in the gallery at Langford Lakes from 5 August – 2 September, which for most of us will be a new venue and, given the setting, we will be focusing on more nature related works that chime with the location.”
Geraldine added: “It may seem that we are doubling up on some of the disciplines, but all our works are very different in terms of focus and style and each contributes to the breadth of the visual experience on show.”
The Guild has also launched social media channels where followers can explore their creative journey.
Members will be present throughout both exhibitions and are looking forward to meeting visitors.
