Bulldog attack outside Salisbury Tesco leaves woman with ‘serious’ injuries

A WOMAN suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a dog outside a Salisbury supermarket.

The incident occurred outside Tesco, in Castle Street, at around 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon (January 14).

The woman was taken to hospital where she received treatment for injuries which are serious but not life threatening, police said.

“The male owner of the white American bulldog was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent,” they added.

“He is currently in police custody.

“The dog has been taken into appropriate care.”
