SALISBURY City Council is asking residents for their views on proposed new regulations for the city’s cemeteries.
The regulations are designed to ensure that Salisbury’s council-managed cemeteries – The Avenue, London Road and Devizes Road – remain respectful, safe and well-maintained for all visitors.
The council is seeking input through a public survey, which is open until Wednesday, February 18.
Residents are being asked to consider whether the proposed rules strike the right balance between respect, safety and accessibility.
Key areas for feedback include grave spaces and burial arrangements, memorial size limits and the list of prohibited items.
The council says the consultation will help ensure that cemetery spaces continue to meet the needs of the community while maintaining dignity and safety for all visitors.
Those wishing to take part can view the draft regulations and complete the survey online at Salisbury City Council Consultations.
