THE MUCH-LOVED Cursus Festival is set to return to the heart of Cranborne Chase this May bank holiday, bringing three days of live music, community spirit and countryside charm to a working farm just outside Salisbury.
Running from May 22 to 24, the festival marks its eleventh year with a line-up that once again punches well above its weight.
With just 500 tickets available, Cursus has carved out a reputation as one of the south west’s most intimate and welcoming music events – a place where festival first-timers rub shoulders with seasoned gig-goers, and where muddy boots, dancing dogs and smiling kids are all part of the experience.

Set on Myncen Farm between Salisbury and Blandford, Cursus offers a rustic backdrop for a weekend that blends big sounds with small-festival soul.
This year’s headliners include Peat & Diesel, Land of The Giants and Black Water County, alongside a diverse supporting bill featuring The Hempolics, Skimmity Hitchers, RuMac and Samantics.
Local talent is firmly in the spotlight too, with acts such as Pronghorn and Typical Girls adding to the mix.
But Cursus is about far more than music. Families are well catered for, with a dedicated DIY Den where children can make friends, get creative and try new skills.
Elsewhere on site, festival-goers can enjoy a buzzing DJ tent, rural craft demonstrations, campfires and even guided farm tours.

Live-in vehicles are welcome, alongside traditional tent camping, helping to create a relaxed, village-like atmosphere.
Unusually for a music festival, Cursus is also dog-friendly, making it a rare find for music lovers who do not want to leave four-legged friends behind.
Festival organiser Kev Davis describes Cursus as “a true hidden gem”. She added: “Everyone will find a warm and friendly welcome here, not to mention an epic soundtrack of original bands and loads of other fun.”
Adult weekend tickets start at £109, with the first two children admitted free.
With previous years selling out and 2026 tickets already moving fast, early booking is advised.
