Salisbury FC Youth appeals for community help after flood damage

A BURST pipe has left Salisbury FC Youth facing an unexpected setback after flooding caused part of the ceiling to collapse at the club’s home ground.

The incident took place yesterday and has affected the changing rooms and toilets, leaving the club without safe amenities for the children who train and play there.

While coaches and volunteers are working to put temporary toileting arrangements in place, the damaged building is expected to remain closed for some time.

A video posted on the club’s Facebook page showed the extent of some of the damage.

The video shows the ceiling falling down in the changing rooms.

The club, which supports young players from across the Salisbury area, is now appealing for help as it works to recover from the disruption.

In particular, Salisbury FC Youth is urgently looking for industrial dehumidifiers to help dry out the building so repairs can begin as quickly as possible.

Club representatives say drying the structure is a crucial first step before any restoration work can take place, and getting the facilities back in use is a top priority for the wellbeing and comfort of the children who rely on them each week.

Despite the challenges, there has already been a strong sense of determination from those involved at the club, with volunteers rallying together to minimise disruption to training and matches where possible.

The club is now asking local businesses, organisations or individuals who may be able to lend or supply industrial dehumidifiers to get in touch.

Any support, whether practical help or advice, would be greatly appreciated as the club works to get back on its feet.
