A SALISBURY man has been jailed after he abused a 13-year-old girl in the back room of a store he was working at while her parents were shopping.
33-year-old Joseph Marriott, of St Andrew’s Road was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court last Thursday (August 4) after previously being found guilty of two counts of causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
He had also previously admitted breaching his sexual harm prevention order.
His Honour Jason Taylor KC sentenced Marriott to 10 years custody – comprising four years and six months imprisonment and five years and six months on licence.
He must also abide by the terms of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and register with the police indefinitely.

He was also ordered to pay a £228 surcharge.
