A FAMILY support group in the heart of the city has received a £380 boost from Salisbury Reds Community Fund.
Imagine This, partnered with St Paul’s Church, offers Early Years, Intergenerational and Special Educational Needs sessions.
In addition, the hub provides mother and baby support with a focus on supporting families in social economic hardship as well as tackling loneliness within the city.
Rebecca Stoodley from Imagine This said: “We aim to reach as many families as possible, through offering a safe, welcoming and interactive setting in which families feel supported.”
“Through our services, we signpost individuals to professional support, and also work with other community organisations including St Paul’s Church, local primary schools, speech therapists and community dieticians. These links allow us to offer targeted support where it is needed the most.”
Kirsty Agate, also from Imagine This, added: “We work incredibly hard and long hours do all this, but we also rely on support from local companies. We were delighted to receive £380, which will be put to very good use in our work with some of the city’s most vulnerable families.”
Imagine This is running a series of Winter Wonderland sessions throughout December at The Hope Centre in Fisherton Street where families can explore all areas of learning, from creative play to small world, messy play, investigative, construction and role play.
Salisbury Reds general manager Andrew Sherrington called the organisation “a perfect example of a group doing excellent work”. He added: “It’s exactly what our community fund is designed for. We are pleased to be supporting such a worthy cause.”
Other recipients in the October 2025 Community Fund allocation include Friends of St Andrews, Exeter House School PTA, Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir and Friends of Broadchalke School.
Salisbury Reds’ Community Fund is open for new funding applications from April 1, 2026.
