School confirms it will reopen tomorrow

A SECONDARY school in Salisbury that was forced to close today due to water tank problems has confirmed it will open tomorrow.

Earlier this morning, Sarum Academy in Westwood Road reported it would be shut after the school tank failed to fill up overnight, leaving them without water.

In an updated statement, the school said: “We have located and repaired the burst pipe so we are able to open tomorrow as usual.

“A huge thank you to Josh and his team, our local plumber, for coming so quickly!

“With increasing extreme weather each year, we will be adding additional protection to our pipework this spring to reduce future risk where possible.

“Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding.”
