Second person dies following A36 crash

A WOMAN in her 60s had sadly died after a car and three motorbikes were involved in a crash on the A36 on Saturday (May 31).

This is the second death reported by Wiltshire Police following the crash at Knook after Robert Best, 62, was previously declared dead at the scene.

The woman who was riding pillion on a different motorcycle to Rob was taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries, and has now sadly died.

Wiltshire Police said: “Her next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.

“We continue to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident as our enquiries continue.”

The family of Rob Best previously released a tribute to him, describing him as being “loved and adored by all who knew him”.
