Second unauthorised encampment spotted in Salisbury

THE public is being asked to not approach an unauthorised encampment in Salisbury’s Victoria Park.

Caravans have been spotted at Victoria Park today (July 14) – just three days after another unauthorised encampment was moved on from Queen Elizabeth Gardens last week.

Salisbury City Council said it is following its legal procedures and is working with partners to “resolve this matter as quickly as possible”.

“We kindly ask that members of the public do not approach the encampment,” a council spokesperson said.

“We will be in contact with those who have bookings in the area. Further updates will follow in due course.”

The council is encouraging people to report non-urgent issues to police on 101 and to call 999 in an emergency.
