Tools worth ‘significant sum’ stolen from truck

POLICE are appealing for information after a haul of power tools was stolen from a pick-up truck in Salisbury.

The theft happened sometime between 5.30pm on Monday, February 10 and 7am the following morning, when a Ford Ranger Raptor was targeted while parked in Castle Road.

Officers say several high-value tools were taken, including DeWalt impact and combi drills with charger and batteries, a DeWalt leaf blower, angle grinder and multi-tool, as well as a GRABO lifting device.

The stolen equipment is believed to be worth a significant sum and may have a serious impact on the owner’s livelihood.

Wiltshire Police are now urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area during the evening or early morning hours to come forward.

They are also asking second-hand dealers and members of the public to be alert for the items being offered for sale locally or online.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54260018429. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The incident comes amid ongoing concerns about tool thefts from vehicles across the region, with tradespeople frequently targeted.
