SEARCH and rescue teams were deployed to Salisbury after being tasked by Wiltshire Police to assist in the search for a high-risk missing person.
The callout, logged as Callout 61, saw volunteers responding alongside specialist support from Hampshire Search and Rescue Dogs, as police stepped up efforts to locate the individual.
Search operations were coordinated through the Wiltshire Police control room with teams deployed to support officers on the ground in the Salisbury area.
The deployment is understood to be connected to an ongoing missing person investigation with emergency services working together to locate the person as quickly and safely as possible.
It is believed, though not confirmed, that the teams are searching for vulnerable 81-year-old Philip who went missing from his care unit on Sunday.
Wiltshire Search and Rescue is a volunteer-led organisation that provides vital support to police during searches for missing and vulnerable people, often in challenging conditions and time-critical situations.
