A WOMAN is in a life-threatening condition after five vehicles crashed on the A303 near Amesbury.

The crash took place yesterday (November 2) on the eastbound carriageway of the dual carriageway, where the lanes merge towards Winterbourne Stoke, just before 2pm.

Another person and a child passenger also sustained injuries which have been described as minor.

Wiltshire Police is now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597, quoting log number 218,” a spokesperson for the force said.

“Alternatively, you can email them directly at SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk.”
