PLANS have been launched to introduce a three-hour maximum stay at Amesbury Sports Centre car park as part of efforts to curb inconsiderate parking.
Wiltshire Council has launched a consultation about the plans which have been brought about as they said non-sports centre users – from the nearby Kindred Parsonage Pre-School and the Stonehenge School – often park at the site, which reduces the parking available for people accessing the sports centre.
The new order is planned for Monday to Friday with three hours no return within three hours.

A Wiltshire Council spokesperson said: “Wiltshire Council have experienced parking challenges and inconvenience for our centre users due to unauthorised use by the adjacent school.
“The introduction of a maximum stay will deter non-centre users from parking for long periods.”
The consultation will close on August 11 and can be viewed by clicking here.
