Arrest and appeal for victims after thefts at Hampshire leisure centre

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a series of thefts from a New Forest leisure centre.

It comes after reports of a number of thefts from New Milton Health & Leisure, in Gore Road, between February 28 and March 7.

A 31-year-old Dorset man was arrested on March 9 in connection with five thefts. The man has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

Now, Hampshire Police is calling on victims of thefts from a county swimming pool, gym, or leisure centre to come forward.

“Officers are particularly keen to hear from you if you’ve had wallets, bank cards and/or cash stolen, and if this money has later been used in betting shops,” a spokesperson said.
