LIFE-SAVING equipment has been installed at a community hub in Salisbury.
A bleed kit can now be found at Salisbury City Council’s Bemerton Heath Centre, offering 24-hour access to potentially life-saving equipment in a serious emergency.
Produced by HeartSafe, the kit contains specialist equipment designed to help control severe bleeding, which could help adhere first aid before emergency services reach a scene.
It comes after after a defibrillator was installed at the Bemerton Heath Centre in February last.
The kit was installed thanks to Salisbury resident Spencer Mulholland, who raised the money with support from the community.
“They’re a critical piece of equipment. If someone needs a bleed kit, they will need it within three to five minutes, so it’s important to have as many as possible within our community,” Spencer said.
