A BULL was spotted strolling leisurely along a road in Amesbury on Friday (March 28).
Motorists informed police after they spotted the “friendly face” ambling along the road.
Officers kept the bull contained before a local farmer came to their aid and herded the animal back to his field.
An Amesbury Police spokesperson said: “Amesbury is surrounded by farmland, and upon speaking to the local farmer, he has given us helpful information for dealing with livestock.

“Do not enter fields with cows with their calf as they can become particularly aggressive.
“Please remember to close all gates behind you when entering fields.

“Do not tamper with electric fencing.
“We would also like to remind you that if you see any livestock out of their field or on the road, please call us on 999/101 for your safety and the safety of the livestock.”
