LEWIS Brown has signed for Salisbury FC from AFC Bournemouth.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who can also play as a full back on both sides, will join up with Brian Dutton’s squad ahead of this Saturday’s (January 11) fixture against Farnborough.
A product of the AFC Bournemouth academy, Brown has been at the club since joining their under-7s side and was a member of the AFC Bournemouth Under 21 squad.
He also enjoyed loan spells with Wimborne, AFC Totton and Truro City over the last couple of seasons.
The midfielder will bolster The Whites squad, with the team currently sitting in 19th place in the Vanarama National League South.
After finalising the signing, Brian Dutton said, “We’re delighted to have Lewis on board.
“He has shown a real willingness and attitude to go out and prove himself at non-league having already had a loan at Truro last season.
“He’s a young energetic midfielder with a bright future we’re really excited to have him on board and strengthen our relationship with Bournemouth.
“I am sure supporters will enjoy his all-action displays.”
Salisbury’s fixture against Farnborough is likely to be subject to a pitch inspection with the freezing temperatures overnight expected ahead of the match.
Groundsman, Pete Robinson has been working hard to prepare the pitch at the Ray Mac and has put in place preventative measures in an attempt to beat the cold weather.
Any information about the pitch inspection will be shared by the club via its website and social media channels as promptly as possible.
