Woman reportedly punched and her phone smashed in Christmas Eve attack

A WOMAN was reportedly punched and had cash stolen from her phone case after it was smashed on Christmas Eve.

The attack took place outside the Co-Op on Castle Road on December 24 at around 5.45pm, police said.

“We have arrested a woman aged in her 40s in connection with the assault,” a Salisbury Police spokesperson said.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with any information or relevant CCTV/dashcam footage outside the shop between 5.45pm and 6pm on December 24 is asked to contact police on 101 using reference number 54240151714 or to make a report on the Wiltshire Police website.
