The first incident, at around 2.12pm, saw two crews from Salisbury attend reports of smoke in the Silver Street area of Alderbury.

“On arrival, they discovered a fire involving a garden shed which had spread to an adjacent shed, some logs, and a hollow beech tree,” a Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.

“The sheds, which were well alight, contained garden machinery.”

They discovered a bonfire had spread out of control to an adjacent fence and shrubs. Firefighters used a hose reel and small tools to put the blaze out.
