PEOPLE are being invited to take part in a charity’s first ever colour dash as a way to support their efforts to end homelessness.
Salisbury-based Alabaré has partnered with Thruxton Race Circuit near Andover to create events that will see participants make their way around the famous tarmac to raise money to help homeless people into safe accommodation, with peer support and towards independent living.
There’s two options to choose from – either a 10k run for more seasoned competitors, or the 3.8k family friendly version.
The colour dash will see people of ages and abilities to walk, jog, wheel and dance their way around one lap of Thruxton Circuit.
A soundtrack of dance-floor hits from across the decades will mean dashers can boogie throughout, with five colour stations en-route, where competitors can be showered in powdered paint, to brighten spirits and faces alike.
An Alabaré spokesperson said: “The colour dash ends with a big foam finish – imagine wading through your overflowing bath bubbles and you get the idea!
“We’d love to see you among the 2,000 strong crowd of dashers.”

The 10k Speedway will see runners complete two and a half laps of the track on September 13.
This event is chipped and timed – meaning this is an opportunity to record a personal best on what’s notoriously Britain’s fastest race circuit.
Every step taken in the 10K Speedway and colour dash will support Alabaré’s work to end homelessness.
A spokesperson added: “We provide drop-in services for rough sleepers to get some immediate help, while also offering supported living accommodation for people to build confidence, improve mental wellbeing and boost employability.
“Alabaré aims to provide safe homes, heal hearts and empower minds into brighter futures.
“Your support of events like this will mean Alabaré is able to continue supporting more than 3,200 people every year, and expand services to help even more.”
