TWO children’s authors will descend on Salisbury’s Rocket Bookshop over the next month for events that are certain to be a hit with kids.
Popular local illustrator and performer Kristina Stephenson is hosting a family story time and puppet workshop at the store on Saturday (September 27) from 11am to 12pm, to celebrate the release of her new book Perfect Harmony.
Kristina will appear in a designated section of the new Spitfire Cafe’s seating area within Cross Keys, creating a relaxed space for families to drop in and join the fun at any time.
The event is free and no booking is required. Kristina has performed extensively nationwide, worked with many local schools and brought her show to Salisbury Arts Centre last year.

Celebrated middle-grade author Emma Carroll, widely known as the Queen of Historical Fiction, will visit the city for a day of school events to celebrate her latest novel, Dracula & Daughters.
To round off the day, Emma will hold a public signing at Rocketship Bookshop at 5pm. Previous signings with Emma have drawn excellent turnouts and this is expected to be another popular appearance.
“We love bringing authors and illustrators to Salisbury,” said Jo Boyes from Rocketship Bookshop.
“Kristina’s creative sessions are a treat for children, and Emma Carroll’s new book is sure to be a favourite with our readers. We can’t wait to welcome everyone along.”
