Rotary Club of Verwood’s rustic fayre raises vital charity funds

THE Rotary Club of Verwood’s Rustic Fayre has been hailed a success and a great afternoon out for all the family.

Jeff Mostyn, former chair of AFC Bournemouth, formally opened the fayre after arriving at the arena on a steam engine with mayor Simon Gibson, president Andy Maw and town crier David Craner.

Highlights included the BMX stunt team alongside many returning favourites, including a taekwondo display, mini-horses show and the infamous egg-catching event.

There were stalls, live music, children’s activities, classic vehicles to enjoy and duck races to name but a few.

Club member Louisa Hiscock said: “We’d like to give a big thank you to all our sponsors and volunteers on the day – we really could not organise such a big community event without their support every year.”

The final total raised is yet to be confirmed. Club members look forward to dividing these funds up to support not only local charities, organisations and activities but national and international Rotary projects.
