SHOPPERS are already out in force after the opening of the 2026 Rockbourne Early Christmas Fair.

The three-day shopping event at Salisbury Racecourse, in aid of the Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital’s Charity, runs until Friday (October 16).

Each year, it attracts thousands of visitors and the 2026 event got underway today (October 14), with late-night shopping planned tomorrow evening when the fair will open until 7.30pm.

More than 90 handpicked stalls are on offer, stocking everything from fashion, jewellery, homeware and cosmetics, to gourmet food and unique gifts.

Opening the 2026 Rockbourne Early Christmas Fair, chair of the fair team, Bev Moulding, said: “We’re delighted to see Rockbourne Fair in full swing and to welcome visitors for what promises to be another fantastic event.

“The Fair offers a great day out with a wonderful selection of stalls and delicious food on offer. We’d encourage people to come along and make a day of it with family and friends.

“Every purchase helps support the Stars Appeal and the incredible work it does for patients and their families at Salisbury Hospital, so by joining us you’ll be helping make a real difference to local people.”

Money raised will help the Stars Appeal towards the £2 million it aims to raise this year to fund projects across Salisbury Hospital, including new equipment, enhancements to buildings and ongoing projects.

Helena Sinclair, of the Stars Appeal, added: “Every pound raised at Rockbourne Fair will help us fund projects that enhance care and support for patients and their families at Salisbury Hospital.
