A MAN in his 20s has died after a crash in Bulford last night (October 14).
The incident, involving two vehicles, happened on the A3028 Double Hedges at around 8.45pm.
Wiltshire Police said a Mercedes Benz CLA had been travelling westbound on Double Hedges towards Durrington when it collided with a Volkswagen T Cross travelling in the opposite direction, towards Bulford.
“The Volkswagen caught on fire following the incident and was destroyed,” a police spokesperson said.
“Sadly, the driver of the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist trained family liaison officers. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
“Road closures were put in place overnight to allow collision investigators to carry out enquiries at the scene.”
