Court order over Amesbury property will stay after drugs and anti-social behaviour concerns

A COURT order limiting access to an Amesbury property amid concerns over drug use and anti-social behaviour will stay in place until July.

Wiltshire Police has secured a three-month extension to a partial closure order for the property, in Redworth Drive, Archers Gate.

The application for an extension was submitted by Neighbourhood Policing Team officers and supported by the relevant housing association and was granted by Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on April 11.

The order was sought following reports and concerns over drug dealing involving suspected class A and B drugs, anti-social behaviour and offenders staying at the address.

The extension will remain in place until July 11, 2024, and a copy of the new order is affixed to the address.

Until then, only the following are allowed to enter the property:
* The female tenant
* Any emergency services personnel
* Any employee/contractor from/acting on behalf of ABRI Housing Association

Regular checks of the property will be carried out by officers to ensure the order is being adhered to, police said, and anybody who is found in the premises who is not listed on the order may be arrested.

Any concerns regarding unauthorised people entering the property should be reported at the time via 999, quoting crime reference number 54230117013.
