Driver arrested after 160mph video of Nissan GTR posted online

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly filming himself driving at around 160mph on the M4 motorway.

Police were made aware of a video posted on social media by the suspect, a man in his 30s, of himself driving a black Nissan GTR between junctions 16 and 18 at around 12.45pm on January 28.

The speed limit is 70mph.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson confirmed the driver was arrested on Tuesday night (January 30) on suspicion of dangerous driving and his Nissan GTR has been seized for examination.

Sgt Ben Cox said: “This is completely unacceptable.

“Driving at speeds like this can so easily end in disaster as you have no time to respond to anything.

“We will not tolerate dangerous driving like this on our roads and we will ensure that those who do are found and brought before the courts.”
