Prolific striker Tommy-Lee Higgs joins Salisbury FC

A 20-goal striker has joined the ranks at Salisbury FC, subject to FA approval.

Tommy-Lee Higgs made a name for himself after he netted 24 goals for Bognor Regis Town last season, picking up the Platyers’ Player award despite his club being relegated from the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Salisbury’s management team have worked hard to get the deal over the line, beating off interest from other clubs to sign the forward.

Assistant manager Callum Hart said: “We are really pleased to bring in Tommy, we’ve had to beat off stiff competition from other sides to bring him to the Ray Mac.

“He scored plenty of goals last season for a struggling Bognor side and has impressed during his trial.

“We are looking forward to seeing what he can do in a white shirt this season.”

A product of the Southampton youth system, Higgs made 21 appearances for Saints in the U18 Premier League, scoring nine goals in those games.

He also spent time during the 2022/23 season on loan with Gosport Borough.

Higgs made his first appearance for Salisbury against Downton on Saturday (July 5), scoring the third of Salisbury’s goals in a five-goal win for the Whites.
