FOR more than 25 years, the Light Up a Life service has been a cherished tradition at Salisbury Hospice Charity, offering a heartfelt opportunity to remember the lives of loved ones.
Rev’d Selina Deacon opened this year’s service at St. Thomas’s Church on November 23 with a warm welcome, setting the tone for an afternoon of reflection and solace.
In one of the most poignant moments of the service, attendees were invited to light candles in memory of their loved ones at the altar whilst The Kate Edgar Singers performed an underscore of carols.

The Kate Edgar Singers performed at the service.
Hospice chair of trustees Nikki Spicer shared her personal reflection and expressed her gratitude to the community for their continued support.
Rev’d Philip Rhoades then introduced two minutes of silence, providing a moment of reflection for the congregation.
Following the service, attendees gathered for mulled wine and mince pies, sharing moments of connection and support, with the opportunity to speak to the Family Bereavement Support Team and members of the fundraising team.
Salisbury Hospice Charity would like to extend a sincere thank you to Parker Bullen Solicitors for sponsoring the Light Up a Life service once again.
