CANCER patients and their families are invited to a free community event offering a range of activities to boost wellbeing during the cancer journey.
The Live Well with Cancer Day takes place on Saturday, January 31 from 10am to 4pm at The Bowman Centre in Amesbury.
Visitors can try a variety of uplifting and engaging activities, including art, yoga, singing, pottery, skincare, colour analysis, mindfulness and nutrition workshops.
Joining the day is the Cancer and Pisces fishing charity, which uses angling as a therapeutic pastime to help people connect with the natural world and with one another.
Those who like a hands-on approach can meet members of The Men’s Shed, a community workshop that helps combat social isolation and loneliness.
Participants can make, repair and repurpose items while enjoying the company of others.
Eat.Nourish.Heal will also be on hand to offer guidance on nutrition, mindful movement and supportive lifestyle coaching, helping attendees discover ways to nurture both body and mind.
The day is designed to be a supportive and welcoming space where people affected by cancer can explore new activities, meet others and find inspiration to support their wellbeing.
Entry and refreshments are free, and there is no need to book.
Family members and carers are welcome to attend.
Whether you want to get creative, try mindfulness, or simply connect with the community, Live Well with Cancer Day promises a day of positivity, support and practical advice for anyone affected by cancer.
