‘Proud to stand with them’: Global figure backs ALABARÉ

A SALISBURY-based homelessness charity has announced a high-profile new ambassador – bringing international reach to its work supporting vulnerable people.

ALABARÉ has welcomed globally recognised tracker and outdoor educator Kyt Lyn Walken as an ambassador for the organisation, which has been helping people facing homelessness for 35 years.

The charity said it was clear from their first conversation that Kyt felt a strong connection to its mission to break the cycle of homelessness.

Its Christian ethos, compassion and focus on supporting the whole person – providing homes, restoring hearts and empowering minds – resonated deeply with her.

Kyt, who has built a worldwide following through her work in nature connection, wellbeing and personal gr-owth, said she wants to use her platform to highlight both the growing homelessness crisis and the support available.

“ALABARÉ’s work really touched me,” she said. “The homelessness crisis is growing – and it becomes more visible every time I’m in the UK.

“Their belief that every person deserves dignity, safety, and hope is something I care deeply about. I’m proud to stand with them and help share their story.”

In her new role, Kyt will support outdoor wellbeing activities, take part in fundraising and community events, and help promote the charity’s mission to her global audience.

ALABARÉ’s director of strategic communications James Tomlinson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Kyt.

“Her energy, kindness and passion for people align beautifully with who we are. She’ll help bring our story to so many new people – in the UK, Europe and the US.”

More than 3,200 people access ALABARÉ’S services each year.
