Biker seriously injured in A36 crash near Stapleford

UPDATE: Police are appealing for information after a motorbike rider suffered ‘potentially life-changing’ injuries in a crash on the A36 near Stapleford.

The incident, which involved a motorcycle and a car, happened at around 11.20am on Tuesday morning (July 18).

“A man has been taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries,” a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said. “His next of kin have been informed.”

Anyone who saw what happened, or has dash cam footage, should contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597, quoting Log number 104. They can also contact the team directly by email to SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk.


A MAJOR road in Salisbury is closed after a crash.

The A36 between Stapleford and Wilton – going towards Stapleford – is shut after an incident involving a car and a bike, Wiltshire Police said.

The crash happened at around 11.20am and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.

Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dashcam footage are being urged to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597, quoting incident number 104.
