Arrest after alleged attempted rape of teen in Salisbury

A MAN has been arrested in suspicion of attempted rape and possession of a knife after an incident involving a teenage girl in Salisbury.

Police were called to Mill Lane, Stratford sub Castle, at around 11am on Thursday (June 1).

“Following a search of the area, we have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted rape and possession of a bladed article in a public place,” a spokesperson said.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, which is thought to have taken place shortly after 11am today, is asked to call us on 101 quoting log 110 of June 1.”
