A PUB in Salisbury that closed earlier this year is set to reopen.
Dark Revolution, a brewery based in Old Sarum, announced today that it is taking on the former The Dust Hole/Railway Inn on Tollgate Road to bring their “taproom vibes” to the city.
The pub is set to open in autumn and will feature 14 keg lines of Dark Revolution beers and guest beers, quiz nights, food and more.

A Dark Revolution spokesperson said: “You may have already heard; we’re taking on a pub, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ll be bringing our beloved Taproom vibes into the City of Salisbury.
“The Dust Hole, also known as The Railway Inn, is the only pub in the UK with dual official names. It’s packed with history.
“Established in 1847 to serve the nearby Milford Railway Station and goods yard, it became known as the ‘Dust Hole’ due to coal dust from bunkers and steam engines blowing into its bar.
“From August 2025 the dust will have finally settled with only the smell of fresh, hoppy beer taking over.”
Tony and Carol Harding of The Dust Hole/Railway Inn announced back in March that they are handing over the reins of the pub they have presided over for the past 20 years so Tony can focus on his health.
The couple said the long hours, physical demands, and constant stress took their toll on Tony, which led to a series of medical issues that “could no longer be ignored.”
