A CYCLIST in his 20s sadly died after a crash in Wilton on Saturday evening (July 4).
Emergency services were called to the scene, on the southbound carriageway of The Avenue, at around 5.45pm.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said the cyclist – a man in his 20s and from Salisbury – had been travelling southbound when he collided with the front of a MAN panel van travelling in the opposite direction.
The cyclist “sustained a head injury as a result of the collision and sadly died”, the spokesperson said.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time, and they are being supported by specially trained officers,” they added.
