A COCKER spaniel cross called Ollie is ready to leave kennel life behind and find the forever home he deserves.
Two-year-old Ollie has been living at Dogs Trust Salisbury Rehoming Centre, and he is looking for experienced owners who can offer him a structured, loving home that understands and respects his needs.
He needs a calm, adult-only home where he can relax and feel secure.
This sweetheart would do best if he were the only pet in the house, but he enjoys having canine companions when out on his walks. He loves the outdoors, long walks and sniffing around scent trails.
He is very clever and enjoys learning new tricks, so an owner willing to continue his training would be ideal.
Ollie would thrive in a home with patience and structure to help him settle in.
He doesn’t like to be overhandled by unfamiliar humans but adores affection and fuss from the people he loves most once he has built a strong bond.
Claire Rowe, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Salisbury, said: “Ollie is an adorable boy who has responded well to his behaviour training. He will need consistent, positive reinforcement from his new owners to help continue his progress.
“Ollie is happiest when he’s out and about, exploring on his walks and sniffing to his heart’s content.”
Ollie is lovingly known as a Dogs Trust ‘Underdog’, a term used by the charity for some of the dogs who have been waiting for their forever home for more than six months.
These dogs often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs.
Unfortunately, some are also simply overlooked.
