YOUNGSTERS swapped good reads,
heard from authors and recited poetry during a week of activities to explore the beauty of books. The lessons, at Hillside First School, culminated on World Book Day (March 2), when the children gathered for a special aerial photograph in the school grounds.
Activities running through the week included a book swap event, an author visit, poetry recitals by each class, a World Book Day assembly and ‘shelfie’ photos from
the children.
Children and staff are pictured above – as well as the aerial photo.
