Teen attacked by group after football match

POLICE have launched an appeal after a teenage football fan was left injured in a violent group attack during the Salisbury v Worthing match.

Wiltshire Police say the disorder broke out at around 3.50pm on January 10 outside the stadium near Roger Way, as tensions surrounding the match spilled into the street.

A teenage boy from Worthing was allegedly subjected to a prolonged assault by a group of teenagers, leaving him with injuries.

Officers say the incident also involved a robbery.

Police have confirmed that there are currently no clear images of the disorder and are relying on witnesses to help identify those responsible.

Detectives are urging anyone who saw the incident, has video footage, or knows who may have been involved to come forward.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information that could assist the investigation.
