Drunk driver pleads guilty in court

A DRINK driver from Salisbury who crashed his car in Wilton has been disqualified.

Muhammad Shah, 53, of Windsor Road, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court yesterday (February 26) and pleaded guilty to drink driving.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

On December 1, 2024, officers attended a collision between two vehicles in South Street in Wilton.

On arrival at the scene, officers smelt alcohol on Shah and he failed a roadside breath test. He was arrested and later charged.

As well as the driving ban, he was also ordered to pay a £500 fine, £200 surcharge and £85 CPS costs.
