A NIGHT of comedy, music and unexpected talent is heading to Wiltshire all in support of young musicians.
Well-known impressionist Alistair McGowan will take to the stage at Dinton Village Hall on Thursday, June 4 for a special fundraising performance in aid of Cherubim Music Trust.
Famous for his razor-sharp impressions on television, Alistair has in recent years revealed a very different side; building a reputation as a pianist, scoring a number one in the classical charts and even founding the Ludlow Piano Festival.
He is also a published poet, promising an evening that blends humour, music and storytelling.

He won’t be alone on stage.
Audiences will also be treated to performances from rising stars supported by the trust, including tuba player Dafydd Owen, offering a light-hearted take on life at the back of the orchestra.

Tuba player Dafydd Owen,
A former National Eisteddfod winner, he will be accompanied by the trust’s director, Michael Maxwell Steer.
Adding to the line-up is Alec Banner, principal percussionist with the National Youth Brass Band, who is set to begin his studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music later this year.
The event forms part of the charity’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
Based in nearby Tisbury, Cherubim Music Trust provides professional-quality instruments to talented young musicians, with around 80 instruments currently on loan worth an estimated £800,000.
Funds raised will support its latest appeal to secure a fourth concert harp for BBC Young Musician finalist Jamaal Kashim.
Organisers are promising a “fabulous evening” of entertainment – all for a cause that helps nurture the next generation of musical talent.
