A FREE event at County Hall next month is bringing together climate experts, energy advisers and environmental groups to answer questions and more.
The Climate and Environment Summer Showcase will take place at the council offices in Trowbridge on Monday, July 7, giving residents the chance to meet specialists face-to-face and discover what support is available.
Rather than being a traditional council event, organisers said the afternoon is designed as an informal drop-in where visitors can browse stands, ask questions and pick up ideas that could save money as well as reduce their carbon footprint.
Among those attending will be experts in solar power, battery storage and home energy efficiency, alongside organisations working on wildlife conservation, community energy projects and climate action across Wiltshire.
With energy costs still a major concern for many households, the event will also highlight grants, schemes and practical measures that could help residents reduce their bills.
Groups taking part include Let’s Go Zero, West Mercia Energy, Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy, Switch Together, Wiltshire Warm Homes: Local Grant and Wiltshire Climate Alliance.
Council leader Cllr Ian Thorn said many people want to make environmentally friendly changes but often feel overwhelmed by the amount of information available.
He said the showcase aims to make things simpler by bringing experts together in one place and helping residents understand what options are available to them.
The event runs from 1pm to 3pm in the Atrium next to the library at County Hall. There is no need to book, and visitors can drop in at any time.
