Salisbury gets a seaside splash with summer square fayre

SALISBURY is set to get a taste of the seaside this summer as the popular Fayre on the Square returns to Guildhall Square with more attractions than ever before.

Running from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, September 6, the annual event will transform the city centre into a beach-inspired destination packed with games, entertainment, food and live music.

Families can enjoy a range of classic activities including mini golf, boules, skittles, table tennis, table football, chess and swingball, with each activity costing £3.50.

Visitors looking to make the most of the summer attraction can also purchase an Activity Card, offering ten activities for the price of nine.

There will be a seaside theme.

There will be plenty of free fun on offer too. Giant games including Connect 4 and Jenga, as well as popular sandpits, will be available throughout the seven-week event at no charge.

With no need to book in advance, organisers said visitors can simply turn up and enjoy everything the event has to offer.

Alongside the activities, Guildhall Square will be filled with food and drink options, creating a holiday atmosphere in the heart of Salisbury.

People will be able to relax with a drink from the on-site bar, enjoy a selection of street food, tuck into sweet treats and, of course, cool down with an ice cream.

Traditional sticks of seaside rock will also be available.
