DRIVERS using the A303 near Amesbury will now find it easier to charge their electric vehicles after a major expansion at Solstice Park.
GRIDSERVE has added eight new charging stations to its Electric Super Hub at Solstice Park, responding to growing demand from motorists passing through the busy route.
The site, which sits on the A303, has become a key stop-off point for both travellers and businesses.
With more people switching to electric vehicles, the additional chargers are expected to ease pressure and reduce waiting times.
The hub has been in place for some time, offering drivers a reliable place to charge using net zero carbon energy. The latest expansion reflects just how popular the facility has become.

Asset management director at RO Group Ed Davidson welcomed the investment.
“We are delighted to see GRIDSERVE further invest in its Electric Super Hub at Solstice Park, he said.
“The expansion is a clear reflection of the strong demand for high-quality EV infrastructure at this key site.
“This continued commitment to sustainable energy aligns perfectly with the wider environmental focus of our Group and enhances the offering at Solstice Park.
“It also comes at a time when the sector is benefiting from the UK government’s £1 billion funding package announced this year to make transport cleaner, more affordable and less reliant on volatile fuel prices.
“With this in mind we remain committed to sourcing and delivering a growing pipeline of sites that bring together both drive-thru as well as drive-to retail alongside EV charging.”
GRIDSERVE says the rollout is part of a wider push to improve charging access across the UK.
Group head of delivery for GRIDSERVE George Lloyd said: “The pace of delivery we have achieved in the first quarter of 2026 is our strongest yet, and it is a real testament to the dedication and expertise of the team, as well as the long-term relationships we have developed with our partners.
“From concept through to construction and energisation, this rollout reflects a huge collective effort.”
The expansion marks another step in making electric travel more practical for drivers across Wiltshire and beyond.
