Local sides discover opponents for next season

The region’s football clubs have discovered their opponents for the 2023/24 season.

Salisbury

AFC Totton, Basingstoke Town, Didcot Town, Hungerford Town, Sholing and Walton & Hersham are the new opponents for the Southern League Premier South next season. Metropolitan Police took voluntary relegation to the Isthmian League (Step 4) which sees Harrow Borough reprieved from relegation.

Bemerton Heath Harlequins

Following promotion from the Wessex League, Harlequins have a whole host of new oppositions for next season. Coming up from step 4 into the Southern League Division One South with Bemerton includes Cribbs, Malvern Town and Mousehole whilst Wessex League champions Horndean move over to Isthmian League.

Step 4 Southern League

Wessex League Premier 

For Laverstock & Ford, they see Andover New Street and Petersfield Town come up from Division One whilst Lymington Town drop down from the Southern League. Another new addition to the Wessex Premier includes Sherborne Town who have moved across from the Western League with an increasing number of Devon and Cornish clubs entering Step 5.

Step 5 Wessex League

Wessex Division One

For Downton and Ringwood Town, they welcome Alresford Town and Frimley Green who have come down from Step 5. Also joining them, having moved across from the Combine Counties League (Step 6), are AFC Aldermaston, Clanfield and Cove. No sides from the feeder leagues have entered the Wessex League.
