Jockey Rob Hornby had little trouble in steering 5/4 favourite Coup De Force to victory in race two of the afternoon at Salisbury (2.55), a one and a quarter length success over Street Life to hand trainer Stuart Kittow the victory in the class four contest over five furlongs.

Hector Crouch had his first of two winners in the saddle on the day when piloting Nifty (9/4) to victory in the six furlong class two novice stakes but only just, a winner by a head from Spacewoman who ran a mighty race at odds of 25/1.

Trainer Richard Hannon bagged a winner on the card with Dark Thirty (7/2) who was a half-length winner of the class three handicap over six furlongs, Sean Levey doing the steering in the saddle ahead of Montpellier (16/5) and Noel Fox (9/2) rounding out the top three.

Amen Warrior justified favouritism to land the spoils in the mile and a quarter maiden stakes with Tom Marquand in the saddle for trainers Dr Richard Newland and Jamie Insole, while the penultimate race of the afternoon (4.58) went the way of another favourite as Cape Breton was victorious in the mile and a half class three handicap for Ralph Beckett, with jockey Crouch bringing up his second winner on the day.

Finally, the card came to a close with a mile handicap in class five and this one went the way of Enrolled, who won the contest at odds of 4/1 by three-quarters of a length for the James Fanshawe team.
