Coombe Bissett Primary School seeks new governors

TWO new governors are needed at Coombe Bissett Primary School near Salisbury.

The school is searching for a local authority governor and a foundation governor to join their team.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Would you like to help make a positive contribution to children’s education?

“Could you use your workplace skills in partnership with our head teacher to promote the continuous improvement in the performance of the school? Then the Governing Body of Coombe Bissett Primary School would love to hear from you.

“The role of a governor is a strategic one, they work as part of a team setting the aims and objectives of the school, setting the policies and targets to meet these aims, monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making towards achieving its aims and objectives and providing a source of challenge and support to the head teacher.

“We are looking for both a local authority governor and a foundation governor to join our team.

“The foundation governor represents the interests of the Diocese of Salisbury by supporting and promoting the Christian foundations our school is built upon.

“Please see the Diocesan website for more information.”
