MORE than 50 suspected stolen tools were recovered by police – with the tools thought to have been stolen from the Fordingbridge and Ringwood areas.
Officers stopped a vehicle believed to have been involved in a number of thefts in the New Forest area on October 8.
The driver was arrested and the vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.
Officers found a large number of tools in the back of the van – all suspected to be stolen from Fordingbridge and Ringwood between October 6 and October 7.
19 of the tools have been returned to their rightful owners – but more than 30 items are yet to be identified and police want to reunite these with their rightful owners.
A spokesperson for Ringwood Police said: “I am happy to say that 19 of these have so far been returned to their rightful owners, with a value totalling over £7,000.
“However, there are still over 30 items that have not been identified and officers would very much like to return them to whoever they belong to.
“We suspect that these items where stolen between October 6 and October 7, somewhere in and around the areas of Fordingbridge and Ringwood.”
