The Rotary Club of Salisbury will be supporting this year’s Wallop Wheels & Wings at the Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop on Saturday, 1st July.

Salisbury Rotarians and friends will be providing volunteer support as well as having their own marquee offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about how joining Rotary can help their local community.

Wallop Wings & Wheels is set to be bigger and better than ever with the added attraction of aircraft being able to fly in and out of the event all day. Weather permitting, the skies are set to be full of great aircraft to see this year, including the Rolls-Royce Heritage Flight’s Mk XIX Spitfire and P51 Mustang and the Stinson Reliant from Navy Wings.

Alongside 300 classic and super cars and bikes to keep motor enthusiasts entertained, will be a wide array of activities for the whole family. The Kids Zone will have lots of great make-and-take craft activities, pedal planes, mini-tanks, laser tag, circus skills and a dedicated STEM area brought to the event by Boeing and Rolls-Royce with lots of hands-on activities to keep young minds busy.

The trader village will welcome a wide array of stalls with many local distilleries selling their wares, along with arts and crafts, delicious food ranging from gourmet burgers and homemade pasties to Chinese and Indian Street food. This year will see a return to the event from Hampshire Fare, who will be in attendance celebrating the start of the Hampshire Food Festival.

Downton Brewery will have a wide selection of delicious ales on offer and will also be selling from their unique Land Rover Bar, so be sure to pay them a visit. If cocktails are your thing, then a visit to Beach Bums Tiki Bar will be a must.

Deckchairs will be laid out ready for some great live music from local performers Jayne Deer and Rosie Merritt, giving the event a lovely vintage feel, and be sure to visit the Living History zone or play the giant garden games which will all be situated around the stage area.

The event will showcase a number of amazing charities who support veterans and serving personnel in a dedicated charity village on the airfield.
